Cole BillingsSophomore in Mechanical Engineering I like having the opportunity to meet new people who are interested in Mechanical Engineering here at K-State, as well as being able to represent the department to others. I chose K-State because it is a great school that is close to home and family. Being close to my family is very important in my college choice, and the engineering department here just made it even easier of a choice. |

Luke BrockJunior in Mechanical Engineering I love being able to give back to the university because it has provided me so many opportunities to not just grow as a person but make connections that will last for decades after I leave. I want prospective students to be able to have that same opportunity here in the MNE department and at K-State. I chose K-State because the culture here is so welcoming. I am able to spark up a conversation with anyone I meet, and everyone is looking out for each other. We want those around us to reach their highest potential. |

Alex CavanaughJunior in Mechanical Engineering and Nuclear Engineering Being able to introduce potential students to the MNE department, which I am passionate about, has been extremely rewarding. Becoming more connected with the College of Engineering has enabled me to network more effectively with my peers and has opened opportunities for me outside of the department. I chose K-State because of the amazing opportunities in Nuclear Engineering. Being able to attend a university with a research reactor is an incredible opportunity that I could not pass up. |

Griffin DouglasJunior in Mechanical Engineering I enjoy being a resource for knowledge and a supportive figure to my peers, while also attending classes and building foundational relationships with those around me. Joe KappelmannJunior in Mechanical Engineering I relish the opportunity to lead others to become a Wildcat by sharing my personal experiences at K-State. It brings me immense joy that I have an impact on future students' college decision. Becoming an MNE Ambassador is the perfect opportunity to develop professional skills while still being able to focus on academics. I'm active in the Acacia Fraternity, where I participate in philanthropic endeavors. I enjoy competing on intramural teams and contributing to various ministries at St. Isidores, serving on the Service Leadership Team, the Retreat Team, along with other roles. I am the first in my family to choose K-State, and I absolutely love it. |

Lily MossJunior in Mechanical Engineering Learning about all the opportunities the MNE department has for students is a big motivator for me. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of the resources on campus as well as learning more about them. I chose K-State because of the welcoming atmosphere and plethora of extracurricular opportunities. As a first generation student, I found many connections on campus that were specialized to students like me. Along with my first-gen involvement I am also active in the music program. From design teams to clubs, K-State stands out because of the opportunities not only in the classroom, but also involvement outside of the classroom. |

Sean O'MalleySophomore In Mechanical Engineering I love being able to show new students how amazing K-State is, show them the activities I am passionate about, and help them discover what their future could hold if they were a K-State Mechanical Engineer. Because I am an out-of-state student, I was afraid that I would not be able to find a community or friends while away from home. I literally knew zero people at K-State before coming here. But after being on campus for just a couple of days, I was able to connect with so many other students, and find a community of my own. |

Jared RickeJunior in Mechanical Engineering I value actively contributing to and fostering the growth of a program I am passionate about. It also facilitates networking opportunities with individuals both within and outside the department. There is a wealth of knowledge others can share, the significance of attentive listening and posing insightful questions cannot be overstated. Attending the Career Fair as freshman was an exhilarating experience. Engaging with employers about their recruitment criteria and the internship application process was both thrilling and enlightening. |
