Advising

Student advising is an important part of the collegiate education process. Academic advisors provide an integral part in shaping the student's education to meet the student's academic and career goals. Advisors serve a critical role in student success. Please review K-State's academic advising syllabus.

To provide a high-quality advising experience, the Alan Levin Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering has two full-time academic advisors, Crystal Strauss and Amy Brox, who are available as a resource to all students throughout their time at K-State.

Crystal and Amy typically advise freshman and sophomore students, as well as transfer students. Once MNE students start enrolling in upper-level courses, they are transitioned to a faculty advisor who advises on upper level courses in the curriculum.

If you are unsure of your assigned advisor, log in to KSIS and select "Student Service Center." Your advisor is listed on the right side. If you are not assigned to an advisor, email Crystal.

Schedule an academic advising appointment through Navigate

Students assigned to Crystal or Amy schedule their appointments through Navigate. Some faculty advisors schedule appointments through Navigate, and some schedule appointments directly. Students should confirm their faculty advisor's preference.
