Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering

New additions to the department

Photo of Stefan Yates with studentsAmir Bahadori, assistant professor in nuclear engineering, comes to us from NASA where he served as a principal scientist in Advanced Exploration Systems and RadWorks Radiation Environment Monitor projects.

James Chen, assistant professor in mechanical engineering, comes to us from Pennsylvania State University. He is the lab director for the K-State Multiscale Computational Physics Lab.

Walter McNeil, assistant professor in nuclear engineering, earned his Ph.D. at K-State, and is involved with threat detection systems in the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command.

Stefan Yates (pictured), academic adviser, is a professional adviser who leads the support and recognition of our MNE students.
